Genre: Rhyme, Life

Suppose
by Maria Maturana

We could live our lives again

And stitch the lose end,

Rebuild unseen parts

Would we keep the forgotten

The invisible words forsaken?

Would we taste the impossible joys

Broken in the glass of memories

When time abandoned us

Never to come back?

Perhaps erase those deeds

That tasted bitter hands

And veiled tears or

Dismantle the pieces of a life

Made up with someone else’s memories

Fleeting images of another usSuppose, we were only an unexposed

Shadow in the light of day

Unseen and real as night,

What if

The you

Never was?
