It was a great start to the 2018 FEEDBACK Film Festival season in Toronto as event 1 of 24 was a giant success. The sold out crowd was really engaged in the moderation session lead by the talented Kierston Drier.

The theme of the event was “Misplaced People”.

Every film was about a person being in the wrong situation or place.

January 2018 brought the festival a new team of festival coordinators. Mary Cox & Kierston Drier will be managing the festival in Toronto from now on. They have been with the organization for over 2 years and have also programmed/curated many festival events. So now the keys to the festival were given to them and they are destined to take it to new heights.

This festival gave us 4 comedy films from around the world that had the audience laughing throughout. All funny films that also gave us a nice social commentary.
Then we ended the night by showcasing 2 epic short films. The term “epic short film” is defined by this festival as a film being longer than 20 minutes. You know you have made a great short when the audience is engaged throughout and want to stay and talk about it at length.

One festival down in Toronto with 23 more to go for 2018. If you’re in Toronto, make sure you attend the free events.

See you at the festivals.
