1. What is your screenplay about?
After losing everything and divorcing a drug using husband, a young woman finds solace in church. She meets the associate pulpit minister who was appointed Pastor of the most prestigious church. After marriage, this love story transforms into the Pastor’s spousal abuse, untreated bi-polar, and addictive prescription drug usage. Living a double life, Pastor was loving and caring at church, but at home, he was mean, cold, and evil. From adopting a child with one of the members, to financing trips, to providing for women, he saw no wrong in his behavior. After leaving the family and returning the house to the bank, his disabled wife, Bea, was left homeless, starting over again. Who does she trust? Who can she trust?
2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?
The Pastor’s Wife Does Cry genre is Non-Fiction Drama.
3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?
The Pastor’s Wife Does Cry screenplay should be made into a movie because the story will bring awareness of stress and trauma to the viewers. Spiritual leaders and their families are perceived as erroneous trouble-free beings; the movie will illustrate otherwise. Individuals will be enlightened on how untreated depression can cause the loss of relationships. For Bea to withstand hurt, pain, and troubles without retaliation is strength from a higher power which is rarely taught; the movie will depict this. When a wife ministers to her husband’s mistresses and comfort them, it must be shared; this was Bea’s character. When the current and former wives pray and fast together, it must be known. The screenplay has many lifelong lessons in every scene. When individuals see themselves within the scenes, they will take preventive measures. Therefore, families are saved, churches are reunited, marriages are strengthened, and communities follow suit.
